This coffee comes from Sul de Minas, the biggest region for Arabica coffees in Brazil, having around 30% of the country’s production of Arabica coffees. The climate, topography and geography of the region makes it an ideal place for growing some of Brazil’s best coffees. Mundo Novo is a well-known variety of Arabica coffee, very traditional in Brazil. It is packed with familiar notes of chocolate that you expect from Brazilian coffees. Strict criteria ensure quality: elevation, Arabica varieties, compliance with laws, and cupping scores above 80 points SCA. Additionally, coffee is stored in accredited warehouses for quality control. In recent years a lot more care, investment in technology, attention to detail, particularly in post-harvest, and cooperation between farmers has raised the quality of Sul de Minas coffees to unprecedented levels.
